Author, journalist, and documentary filmmaker Alex Kotlowitz will discuss his book An American Summer: Love and Death in Chicago which examines the psychological toll gun violence takes on the spirit of individuals and communities. The book is the Center for Human Rights’ 2022 One Community, One Book selection. This public lecture takes place at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 7 in W10 Pappajohn Business Building.
