The Iowa Student Bar Association and Citizen Lawyer Program invite you to to celebrate the pro bono legal work and service contributions of Iowa Law students, faculty, staff, and alumni in conjunction with the Cady Day of Public Service on October 20 and the ABA's National Celebration of Pro Bono October 22-28. We invite you to take part in any or all of the following events:

Food Drive - Friday, October 20- Thursday, October 26 in the BLB Lobby: donate nonperishable food items to benefit the University of Iowa Food Pantry.

Blood Drive Sign Up - Friday, October 20, 10:00-2:00 in the BLB Lobby: sign up for the October 26 Iowa Law Blood Drive. You can also sign up online here.

Pro Bono Recognition Event - Monday, October 23 12:40-1:40 in 225 BLB (L&L event): American Bar Association President Mary Smith and Iowa Student Bar Association Co-Presidents Joann Mulholland & Steven Saenz will share remarks on the role of lawyers in society and the importance of public service. Following the remarks, we will recognize Spring 2023 Pro Bono Society members and participants in CLP Pro Bono Projects. Join us for a reception after the event! This event is designated as a Lawyers & Leaders event; please sign in at the event. 

Service Appreciation Treats - Tuesday, October 24 11:30-2:00 in the BLB lobby: Stop by the Citizen Lawyer Program table during weekly lobby hours for a cookie as our way of saying "thank you" for your pro bono work and your community and institutional service! We also invite you to write a note sharing highlights or meaningful aspects of your service experiences. 

Iowa Law Blood Drive - Thursday, October 26, 12:00-4:00 p.m. in the Fourth Floor Student Lounge: Sponsored by the Iowa Student Bar Association and Pro Bono Society Executive Board.
