College of Law administration and ISBA's Pro Bono Society Executive Board have adopted the following temporary modifications to reporting of service hours and determination of service honors for Spring 2020: PDF icon bsa_pbs_variances_spring_2020.pdf

Here is a summary of these temporary modifications:

  • Boyd Service Award determinations for the May 2020 graduating class will be based on 90% of the usual required career hours.
  • The career service hour reporting deadline for May 2020 graduates is April 11, 2020. All hours must be reported in Symplicity by this date to be included in BSA calculations. 
  • The service hours requirement for Spring 2020 Pro Bono Society membership will be halved (7.5 hours, of which 3.75 are community hours).
  • The Lawyers & Leaders attendance requirement for membership in the Pro Bono Society is waived for Spring 2020.
