On November 7th and 8th the UI Mock Trial Program is hosting the Annual Cornshucker Challenge on the University of Iowa campus in the Adler Journalism Building. The Cornshucker Challenge is one of the longest-running, and most competitive undergraduate Mock Trial tournaments in the nation. The tournament relies on the help of law students to judge these rounds. Judging is very easy: you get to watch some extremely talented students perform, make notes to help them, and rule on objections.

Each day there will be two rounds lasting at most three hours (usually closer to 2 hours). The first round each day begins at 9:00 AM and the second at 2:00 pm. Each day will wrap up by 5:00 pm. There will be breakfast and lunch provided for you, as well as a judge's meeting half an hour before each round. At these meetings the general rules and format for Mock Trial will be explained (such as the modified Federal Rules of Evidence that we use).
