Oct. 23-29 is the American Bar Association’s annual National Pro Bono Celebration. Iowa Law students demonstrate tremendous commitment to community service and law-related pro bono work.

  • Iowa Law’s entering class completed nearly 200 hours of community service during the Fall 2016 First Year Service Challenge.
  • 83 Iowa Law students are participating in 16 Pro Bono Projects with law-related nonprofit and government agencies in Fall 2016.
  • Iowa Law students completed a total of nearly 10,000 community service hours in the 2015-16 academic year.

Please plan to join us for Iowa Law’s Pro Bono Celebration on Thursday, November 3, at 12:40 p.m. in 235 BLB. The event will feature remarks by Crystal Pound (’16), recognition of current Pro Bono Society members, and announcement of the rates of participation in the First Year Service Challenge. Refreshments will be provided. The celebration qualifies as a Lawyers & Leaders event.
