Due to unsafe weather, the annual MLK Day of Service was rescheduled for Saturday, February 18, and we hope you can join us on the new date! Students, faculty, staff, and community members will serve together in celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
We are looking for volunteers to help coordinate check in and to serve as site leaders. All time spent volunteering would qualify as Boyd Service hours.
Volunteer shift options:
- 7:30 – 9:30 a.m.
- 7:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
- 11:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Official activities will begin with registration and a light breakfast at 8:00 a.m. in the IMU Second Floor Ballroom. Guest speakers, Dr. Lyn Redington and Mr. Kingsley Botchway, will welcome everyone before departing to Shift 1 service sites.
We look forward to serving with you,
The MLK Day of Service Committee
"Everybody can be great...because anybody can serve. You don't have to have a college degree to serve. You don't have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love." -Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
