The Cornell College Mock Trial seeks to recruit Iowa Law students as judges for the college mock trial opening round tournament March 6-8 at the Kirkwood Hotel & Convention Center in Cedar Rapids. The top teams from this tournament will advance to the National Championship Tournament.

For each round 3 judges are needed per room of competitors. Times for rounds are as follows:

• Round 1: Friday, March 6th at 6:00 PM
• Round 2: Saturday, March 7th at 9:00 AM
• Round 3: Saturday, March 7th at 2:00 PM
• Round 4: Sunday, March 8th at 9:00 AM

All rounds will take place at the Kirkwood Hotel and Convention Center, and volunteers will be provided with complimentary snacks, beverages, and meals. A judges orientation will take place prior to each round to inform judges of what and how to evaluate the teams. Each round consists of a three-judge panel and takes approximately 2 ½ to 3 hours.You do not need to read any materials or prepare to judge in any way, just come as you are on the day of the competition.
