Law students are encouraged to volunteer as judges for the regional middle school mock trial competition at the Linn County Courthouse in Cedar Rapids on Saturday, November 5th. Over 250 6th, 7th and 8th grade students will engage as plaintiff and defense teams in a case developed by the Iowa State Bar Association.   There will be 3-4 rounds of trials with start times at approximately: 8:00 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 3:30 p.m.   Volunteer would need to arrive at the courthouse 30 minutes prior to a round. Each trial will be completed in under 2 hours. You can volunteer for as little as 2.5 hours and make a huge impact on this competition.
